Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Vietnam Airlines today celebrated the delivery of the airline's first 777-200ER (Extended Range). With their brand new livery showing the golden lotus as its logo, the airplane is being leased to Vietnam Airlines by International Lease Finance Corp (ILFC). It is the first of two leased and four direct purchased 777s the airlines has ordered for its new and expanded fleet.
This milestone event not only symbolizes the robust relations between the nations of Vietnam and the United States, but also the strong partnership among Vietnam Airlines, ILFC and Boeing.
