Boeing Part of Team Selected to Provide Launch Support Services for 567th Flight Test Squadron

The U.S. Air Force selected the team of Phoenix Management, Inc., (PMI) and The Boeing Company [NYSE:BA] to provide Launch Support Services to the 576th Flight Test Squadron (FLTS) at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. The contract extends for five years (base year plus four annual options). Total contract value is approximately $10M.

PMI will provide overall Program Management, Maintenance Programs Management, Training Services, Equipment Issue and Control, Vehicle Issue & Control and Environmental Management Services. The Boeing Launch Support Services team located at Vandenberg Air Force Base (AFB) will refurbish Minuteman Launch Facilities after Force Development Evaluation launches, as well as perform ongoing corrosion control for Minuteman and Peacekeeper Missile Alert Facilities and Launch Facilities located at Vandenberg AFB.

Phoenix Management, Inc. (PMI) is a small, woman-owned business incorporated in August of 1992 to provide Government Support Services. PMI was awarded their first two contracts in January of 1993. Since that time, PMI has been the successful bidder on over forty-six contracts. The contracts range in scope from: Aircraft Maintenance, Airfield Management, Gateways (passenger processing), Air Traffic Control, Aircraft Servicing for FAA Operations, Air Terminal and Ground Handling Operations, Base Libraries, HAZMAT/HAZMART, Furnishings Management, Aircraft Refueling, Managing Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) T. O. Libraries, Data Logistics and Material Control, Base Supply, Vehicle Operations and Maintenance, Transient Aircraft Services and Transportation. PMI has been providing a standard of excellence in all areas of contract management unequaled in the industry.

The Boeing responsibilities will be managed by the Boeing Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) & Strategic Systems organization.
