Super Hornet Production Begins on Schedule
The Super Hornet entered low-rate initial production at Boeing facilities in St. Louis on September 15, 1997. Boeing production workers are shown here installing the first part into the forward fuselage and nose of the first production F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The Super Hornet is the nation's newest, most advanced fighter aircraft in production.
