Boeing Commercial Airplane Group executive vice president Nancy Bethel today announced that Pat Coulter, former vice president of Corporate Communications at Bell Atlantic, has joined Boeing Commercial Airplane Group as vice president of Communications. Coulter will lead all aspects of communications for the commercial jetliner manufacturer.

In his former position with Bell Atlantic, the East Coast telecommunications company, Coulter supported the merger between Bell Atlantic and NYNEX, the New York telecommunications company. Before joining Bell Atlantic, Coulter was director of Corporate Communications at the Raytheon Co.

"We're very fortunate to have Pat join us," said Bethel. "In addition to his tremendous experience in the communications and aerospace fields, he also brings strong leadership and management skills to an important position."

Coulter began his professional career in the United States Marine Corps. After retiring from the Marines in 1984, he joined the Rocketdyne division of Rockwell International as director of communications.

He received a B.S. in management and business from California State University in Northridge and a Masters' degree in Public Administration and Political Journalism from the University of Southern California.
