Boeing 777 Customers Benefit from 10 New Environmental Actions

EVERETT, Wash., Nov. 21, 2011 – The Boeing 777 program is implementing 10 initiatives that will eliminate 5.5 million pounds CO2 emitted and 300,000 gallons of jet fuel used annually during the 777 delivery process.

Pictured here, Boeing mechanic Rob Thomas checks the 777s GE90-115B engines. Before these initiatives were implemented, Boeing conducted engine tests already completed by GE. After research and coordination with GE, the team reduced the overall test time by nearly 40 percent.
