Boeing Supports US Air Force Launch of Miniature Air Launched Decoy

WICHITA, Kan., June 29, 2011 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] earlier this month supported the U.S. Air Force in the first powered launch of a Miniature Air Launched Decoy Jammer (MALD-J) from a B-52. The successful test means the B-52 can expand its mission from a predominantly offensive role to a more defensive player, giving it the ability to defend U.S. and allied aircraft in combat zones.
