EVERETT, Wash., July 2, 2009 – Engine runs were completed on July 1 for the second 787 Dreamliner designated for flight test. The tests were conducted at the Boeing facility in Everett, Wash. As with the first airplane, the engines were started and operated at various power settings to ensure all systems perform as expected. Yesterday’s tests began at approximately 9 a.m. with two dry runs, one with fuel and one without. After concluding an inspection, the engines were powered up early in the afternoon, and performed well.
