Boeing, Army Contract Extends Successful Public-Private Rotorcraft Support Partnership
Innovative agreement with U.S. Army, Corpus Christi Army Depot continues to 2019
Agreement supports repair and overhaul of Apache and Chinook helicopters

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 12, 2015 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] has received a five-year contract extending the company’s partnership with Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD). The public-private agreement supports the overhaul of complex parts for U.S. Army AH-64 Apaches and CH-47 Chinooks and provides the Army direct access to Boeing’s expertise in platform service and supply networks. The contract includes a base year plus four one-year options for a total value of $238 million.

“Our partnership at Corpus Christi Army Depot allows Boeing and the Army to bring the best of both government and industry to aircraft readiness and availability,” said Tim Sassenrath, vice president and program manager, Boeing Rotorcraft Support. “Together we have seen successful improvements in affordability, repair turnaround time and surplus inventory and we look forward to continuing our successful legacy with the depot.”

Boeing employees have worked side-by-side with depot personnel since 2004 and are responsible for technical, engineering, and logistics support services. They also manage component spares and airframe support.

“Having employees at the depot working with Army maintenance personnel gives Boeing unique agility and flexibility in helping our customers meet their fast-paced mission requirements,” said Lisa Stuart, program manager and Boeing site lead at CCAD. “From routine maintenance support to unscheduled repairs of battle-damaged aircraft, we both benefit from the partnership.”
