Boeing Makes Leadership Changes in Global Services & Support, Boeing Military Aircraft Units

ST. LOUIS, June 2, 2010 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] today announced key leadership changes within the Global Services & Support (GS&S) and Boeing Military Aircraft (BMA) business units of Boeing Defense, Space & Security.

Mark Bass has been named vice president and general manager of the Maintenance, Modifications & Upgrades (MM&U) division of GS&S. Bass, formerly vice president of the F-15 Program for Boeing Military Aircraft, replaces Tony Robertson, who is retiring. Bass will lead a division with responsibility for the development, production and support of Boeing's most complex military modification, upgrade and maintenance programs, including the A-10 Wing Replacement Program, KC-135 Programmed Depot Maintenance, the QF-16 Full Scale Aerial Target Program, the C-130 Avionics Modernization Program and the United States' executive command-and-control fleet.

Succeeding Bass as vice president of the F-15 Program is Roger Besancenez. In this role, Besancenez will be responsible for overall performance of the program, including technical, quality, cost, and schedule performance, as well as business strategy, execution, and growth.

Tim Norgart has been named vice president of Business Development for GS&S. Previously, Norgart was director of Business Development for Boeing Military Aircraft's Airborne Battle Management and Unmanned Airborne Systems (ABM&UAS) division. Norgart will be responsible for analyzing and developing plans to drive the business unit's growth and cultivate new business within the United States and international markets. He replaces Phil Schwab, who will be working a special assignment until his retirement on Oct. 1.

"Mark and Tim will provide critical leadership to Boeing as we continue to grow our global support business, and as we develop a broader role in markets that go beyond Boeing's traditional strengths," said GS&S President Tony Parasida.

"Roger's leadership abilities and experience as a program manager and upgrade-plan leader are a perfect match to continue the strong legacy of the F-15 Program," said BMA President Chris Chadwick. "And this comes at an especially exciting time as new opportunities emerge for the F-15's unmatched, low-risk and increasingly potent capabilities."

A unit of The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space & Security is one of the world's largest defense, space and security businesses specializing in innovative and capabilities-driven customer solutions, and the world's largest and most versatile manufacturer of military aircraft.
