Boeing Statement on Lion Air Crash at Solo City, Indonesia

Boeing extends its deepest sympathies to the passengers, crew and the families of those who were lost on the Lion Air Boeing MD-82 that crashed on landing today in Solo City, Indonesia.

Boeing is working with the US National Transportation Safety Board in offering technical assistance to the Indonesian authorities on site.

The airplane, registry PK-LMN, was delivered to another operator in December 1984. At last report, it had accumulated 56,674 flight hours and 43,940 landings.
