Boeing Autometric Brings Imagery Cataloging Software to Desktop Computers

Boeing Autometric, a global leader in geospatial information and technology solutions, has brought the ability to catalog and retrieve billions of pixels of geographic imagery to the desktop computer. Boeing Autometric is a unit of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, a part of The Boeing Company [NYSE:BA].

DataMaster® 3.1, a leader in secure imagery retrieval and conversion, is now compatible with Windows NT® and Windows 2000®. Since 1992, DataMaster customers have used this data archive management tool to catalog, store, search, retrieve, and view vast amounts of data collected by satellite, manned and unmanned aircraft, or other methods. DataMaster is designed to offer maximum flexibility, quality, and performance.

"DataMaster is a full-service data archiving product that creates a library for digital imagery, and enables users to manipulate the cataloged imagery by expanding, compressing, or reformatting it," said Tony Moraco, general manager of Boeing Autometric. "When you add to this the ability to filter out the data not needed, thus focusing only on data that is entirely relevant, the value of DataMaster becomes apparent. Now that it can be used with a more affordable Windows® desktop computer in addition to the traditional UNIX platforms, we see a whole new market opening up before us."
