Assembly Of First Boeing 737-900 Nears Completion

The first Boeing Next-Generation 737-900 jetliner, shown in foreground with banner, moves up the final assembly production line at the busy Boeing 737 factory in Renton, Wash. The 737-900, the newest Boeing single-aisle commercial airplane model, is due to take its first flight in August. Alaska Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Korean Airlines and Continental Airlines have all ordered the model. The 737-900 is the largest model in the Next-Generation 737 family, the most-advanced design family of jetliners in its market segment.
