Boeing Expendable Launch Systems Earns Quality Certification

The Expendable Launch Systems business segment of The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has been officially certified as an ISO 9001-compliant manufacturer and service provider.

Det Norske Veritas, an independent third-party auditor, awarded the designation to the organization April 15.

The certification covers the company's operations in Huntington Beach, Calif., Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., Cape Canaveral Air Station, Fla., Pueblo, Colo., and Seabrook, Md.

"This certification reinforces our long-standing commitment to providing top-quality products and services, and is vital to our success in the global launch services marketplace," said John Lunardi, director of Quality for Expendable Launch Systems.

ISO 9001 certification is a standard of manufacturing quality recognized around the world. Certification recognizes the company has processes in place to assess and continually improve the way it works in areas ranging from design and assembly to service and repair.
